Many soldiers often find that their Basic Pay is lower than their batchmates or even juniors. This happens when their promotion or MACP (Modified Assured Career Progression) was processed after January 1, 2016, but they didn’t submit their Option Certificate with Part-2 Order.
To solve this issue, Hamraaz Web has introduced the Pay Calculator on the Portal, which helps soldiers calculate their correct salary and decide the best option for Pay Fixation.

The Hamraaz Pay Calculator is an online tool that allows Indian Army soldiers to check their
- Basic Pay
- Allowances (DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, etc.)
- Deductions (Tax, Provident Fund, etc.)
- Pay Fixation options for promotion or MACP.
How to Use Hamraaz Pay Calculator?
Follow these simple steps to calculate your Basic Pay using the Hamraaz Web Portal.
- Open hamraazmp8.gov.in in your browser.
- On the homepage, scroll down and click on the “Pay Calculator” option.

- On the Pay Calculator page, fill in the following details:
- Your previous Pay Level before promotion/MACP.
- Your Basic Pay before promotion/MACP.
- The date of your promotion or MACP.
- Your current Increment Date (1st January or 1st July).

- Click on “Submit” and Scroll down to see your calculated Basic Pay and allowances.
Now, compare the salary options and choose the one with the maximum benefit.
